(Talking about Jamie's save today!)

Kenny Wallace - This is the greatest safe I have seen in years!  Cheesy

Jimmy Spencer - What a save... WOW! Grin

Johnny TV - Great job by Jamie McMurray to save that car Wink

Good run today.... car was solid and we had a little bit of luck for once.. that was an amazing save by Jamie.. take the top 10 and hope there is more... get cars consitently in the top 10 and you'll find victory lane sooner or later!!

Making the Chase is the ultimate goal this year.. do that and i'll be satisfied!

He's had top 10 rides  at every race this year.. daytona was just a cluster F,  California the Brakes.. and today solid.. so.. yeah..  i think today was probably his WORST car of the 3 so far but best finish.. i like that stat!!! Smiley

Nothing else matters besides these two things:

Jamie got a top 10.

Mr. Hat had to get out his checkbook, because good ol' Davey Ragan done went and blowed up two cars this weekend.

HAHA!  Its kind of fun to be cheering AGAINST a team mate.  I have nothing against that little peckerwood except he might cost Jamie his job next year.

Nice top ten even better since he has the flu.  That finish will give him some healing power.

JAMIE MCMURRAY – No. 26 Irwin Ford Fusion (Finished 9th) – "I’m really happy with our finish. We had a better car than that and it got a little bit loose. We didn’t really make much of an adjustment and it got way too tight at the end. We tried to free it up a little bit and we just never really got the balance back as good as it was."

WHEN YOU GOT THAT VIBRATION WERE YOU WORRIED ABOUT THE ENGINE AFTER WHAT HAPPENED TO MATT AND DAVID? "Oh yeah. Honestly, as soon as Donnie started saying, ‘Try to save the motor,’ I would just kind of go wide open off the corner and then as soon as I’d get to about 9000 I would just about half-throttle all the way down the straightaway. It’s frustrating because cars would pass you, but you’ve got to finish. As a driver, you’re sitting there and I kept seeing guys blow up. Even if you were to finish 20th, it’s better than blowing up and finishing in the forties."

YOU HAD THE SAVE OF THE RACE. WHAT HAPPENED THERE?
"I don’t know. Someone got into my left rear and it just got me loose."

WHAT DID YOU DO AS YOU WERE SLIDING? "I didn’t hold it wide open the whole time, but I just modulated the gas pedal and the steering wheel. I was really worried because I was a little groggy from having a cold and I didn’t feel like I was as alert as what I needed to be and when that was over I thought, ‘Pretty alert.’"

WHEN THAT WAS OVER DID YOU SAY TO YOURSELF, ‘THAT WAS PRETTY COOL?’ "Oh yeah. It took me three or four laps to get gathered up. When everyone passed me then I was just kind of like, ‘I need to get going here."

I'm not against Ragan..... I'm for Jamie.  Big difference.

I always go for something, unless that something is trying to harm me, my family or friends.

Quick note:  Between Matt's and Carl's engines going bye-bye, I think Roush-Yates Engines Inc. needs to find out what's what and do it real quick-like...... Kind of the way TRD found and fixed the problem with the under-coated valves/valve stems that caused all their problems this weekend.

McMurray Earns First Top-10 Finish of the Season at Vegas
http://www.roushfenway.com/story/mcmurray-earns-first-top-10-finish-season-vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV (March 1, 2009) – Jamie McMurray, driver of the No. 26 IRWIN Industrial Tools Ford, entered this weekend’s events at Las Vegas Motor Speedway a little under the weather, but that didn’t slow him down from wanting to bring home his first strong finish of the 2009 season.  After a disappointing qualifying effort, McMurray showcased his driving prowess Sunday afternoon in a wild race filled with cautions to finish ninth and earn his first top-10 finish of the year.
